The main house sleeps six, the Ground Floor West Wing has room for four and the First Floor West Wing, for another four.

The Main House has spacious gardens and a safe swimming pool, while the West Wing has a secluded walled garden and a large oval swimming pool. There are a total of 3 barbecue areas, for dining together or separately. Lots of options to suit your needs.

Accomodation is flexible. Tell us what you need and we’ll do our best. All apartments are self-catering, all have bathrooms, some en suite, some not.

There are indoor and outdoor living- and dining-room facilities in or connected to all our apartments. Kitchens and bathrooms are provided with all you could possibly need for the break you need.

A bird watcher’s paradise

Above are only three of the many species of birds practically outside your window. Take a walk along our river and see Blue Rock Thrushes, Herons, Booted and Short-tailed Eagles, among many others. Lounge by the pool and watch Griffin Vultures soaring above the craggy landscape.

Take a walk, wherever you like

We can supply maps for you to explore many beautiful spots in the area – or arrange for a guided tour. Treks are often signposted, however, with little pottery signs, as above. Nature is at the doorstep: wild flowers, lizards, terrapins, butterflies, geckos, you name it and its probably waiting for you.

Railway up the mountains

One of the things we highly recommend is a train journey up the mountains. The trip to Ronda is a must: straight there for a visit to a fascinating town, or stop off at any number of little villages on the way, have a short walk, a leisurely lunch at a variety of excellent spots – and catch thee next train back. Easy and relaxing.

Riding into the countryside

A marvellous way to se the countryside. We can arrange for up to five people to be taken on rides around the area. Riding experience is not essential. Most rides are two hours or more, and cost €16 per person, per hour.

This big old house was once a patio de vecinos, where several families lived in rooms or apartments overlooking two courtyards. It was carefully recovered from neglect and restored in the 1980s and 90s, and recently updated into a village bed & breakfast where comfort and detail go hand in hand. (The photographic story of its renovation is interesting.)

The bar (above) is for the exclusive use of guests and is the ideal spot for a drink before setting out to explore this lovely Spanish pueblo, well within walking distance of shops, restaurants and a living non-touristy white village, yet very close to the great outdoors. There is always something to see and do here; for the more active, there are walks with views that can take your breath away (take a look at all the information available on this site). Riding, cycling, visiting towns and cities at varying distances, fiestas and ferias aplenty everywhere around (Jimena even has its own International Music Festival in early July).

Rooms with single or double beds (extra accommodation for children is available, of course), and apartments for up to 12 get booked up fast, specially over weekends.

There are lots of corners and nooks and crannies to explore here, too. A quiet reading room at the very top of the building, a vine-covered table for a refreshing glass, a warming fireplace for those chilly winter nights – these are just some of the many things this establishment has to offer, and good reasons for your wanting to come back for a holiday or a simple break from the daily grind. (Prices are very reasonable, so you won’t break the bank even in these tricky times…)
